Transformational Leadership: Its impact on the Organizational Trust, Work Engagement and Job Performance in Millennial Workers in Chile

Authors

Abstract

The current study aims to contribute to our understanding the mediating role of organizational trust, and work en-gagement between transformational leadership and job performance based on the healthy and resilient organiza-tions model (HERO Model; Salanova, Llorens, Cifre, & Martínez, 2012). The sample is composed of 201 workers belonging to the millennial generational cohort. As expected, using the statistical program AMOS (Arbuckle, 2003), the structural equations modeling revealed that organizational trust and work engagement have a fully mediating role between transformational leadership and job performance. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
